The release will be a CD and DVD package, with the CD featuring a partial setlist from the 16th of June and the DVD featuring a partial setlist from the 17th of June along with a documentary and photograph gallery. It appears that the DVD will be region free and so will have no territory-based playback restrictions.

There will be two versions. One will be a "dual case edition" and the other will come in a box with three postcards. The latter will purportedly include more backstage footage than the former.

City of Delusion is available only through the iTunes Store pre-order. Knights of Cydonia, Feeling Good, and Time is Running Out can be heard on Muse's MySpace.

The concert footage on the DVD will be shown in high definition video at selected Vue cinemas during March 2008. From this, it seems that the DVD will use one of Dolby's surround sound formats, as with Hullabaloo and unlike Absolution Tour.

History

Muse played two nights at the Wembley Stadium on the 16th and 17th of June 2007. In July, it was rumoured that a DVD of the Black Holes and Revelations tour in general was in the making. The first hint of a DVD of the concerts was when Play.com started listing the DVD on the 13th of September as "Live at Wembley 2007", to be released between the 19th and 26th of November. One of the muselive.com admins seemed to reveal that the band did not want fans to know about the DVD by that time. An 18th September news post on the official French fanclub revealed that the release would contain both a CD and a DVD. This news post compared the DVD with Hullabaloo. HMV Japan's news 3rd October news item stated that it would be a recording of both nights. at Wembley Stadium. The official French fanclub further elaborated on the 26th of October that the DVD would feature a partial 17th setlist and the CD would feauture parts of both nights. In this news post, it was said that DVD would also host some backstage images and a documentary about the concerts and that there would be three versions, one a CD+DVD, one sole DVD and one a box set containing the CD+DVD and postcards. Additionally, this news post stated that the release would be on the 3rd of December.

Around this time, some websites had listed this upcoming release as being a "Greatest Hits" album, but this was rebuked by muselive.com and Muse's management on the 7th of October.

In December, Christopher Wolstenholme said that the DVD had been delayed as the band wanted more time to work on it, whereas Warner wanted out in early December, presumably to benefit from Christmas sales. He also stated that the band would prefer to release one version of the DVD worldwide (without any Japanese bonus tracks), but in 3 editions. In light of this, the previous comment from Muselive's admin may have been to do with this disagreement.

On the 8th of January, CD Wow started listing the DVD as sechedlued to be released on the 18th of February. On the 12th of January, the official German fanclub was told by Warner Music Germany that the DVD would be released on the 15th of February in Germany.

Five official pro-shot videos have been released of the second night - Unintended, a partial Knights of Cydonia and the same Knights of Cydonia preview with Supermassive Black Hole on the end, respectively. The first was released through the Muse mailing list, on the 24th of December. The second was released through the Helium 3 website on the 11th of January 2008.

At the time of the second video's intial release, there were five additional placeholder spaces on the Helium 3 website, which was the number of weeks between the unveiling of the Knights of Cydonia clip and the release date of the DVD listed on online stores at that time, 18th of February. This lead to speculation that there would be a clip released for each of the weeks leading to the DVD's release.

Although this speculation turned out to be inaccurate, as of the 31st of January a thumbnail for a second video had been uploaded to the Helium 3 website. Later on the same day, it was noticed by fans that an extended video had been linked to at the end of the original one which included Supermassive Black Hole at the end. Whether any of these edits will be on the DVD is unknown.

The official Muse website confirmed on the 1st of February that there would be a CD+DVD of the concerts released, scheduled for the 17th of March. Unlike previously hinted by the official French fanclub and Warner France, the CD will feature audio just from the first night rather than a mix of the two nights. As previously reported, on the DVD will be recordings of the second night. Accompanying this official news item, the third video was put up on the Helium 3 website visibly, while the placeholders were removed.

On the 4th of Febuary, Muse sent out a press release with the track listing of both the CD and the DVD. The CD set list and the missing DVD track, both previously unknown, were included in the press release. The previously unknown track was Apocalypse Please. An official news item the next day confirmed the tracklisting, with the addition of introduction tracks at the start of both discs and the improvisation between Starlight and Time Is Running Out on the DVD. Also from this news item; similarly to Christopher Wolstenholme's previous wishes, the release will come in two editions. One will have additional artwork and one will be enclosed in two boxes. By the 15th of February Play.com had started listing the artwork version, which they elaborated as having three postcards included. Play.com further claimed that while both versions will have some backstage footage, the artwork version will have more of it.

A fourth video was hosted by play.com on the 6th of February, linked to in its listing for the DVD. This video could be the DVD introduction, as it features the band walking towards the stage, and ends with 'HAARP: Coming Soon". On the 14th of February, a fifth video was hosted on the Helium 3 website, this one of Feeling Good. Another video, of New Born, was put up on the 29th of February.

The CD was leaked on the 1st of March through private Bittorent tracker Waffles.

Yet another video, this time of Blackout, was uploaded to the Helium 3 website on 7th March

Black Holes & Revelations

Black Holes And Revelations es el nombre de la producción del conjunto británico Muse que salió el 3 de julio de 2006. El nuevo álbum del grupo comandado por Matthew Bellamy tiene singles como Supermassive Black Hole (UK), Knights of Cydonia (US), Invincible y Starlight.

Este, su cuarto trabajo de estudio, sigue la línea estilística de su anterior disco, Absolution, con un estilo musical menos agresivo y mucho más oscuro, además de contar con letras más ideológicas que en sus dos primeros trabajos. En este nuevo disco tienen cierto sonido urbano, como pone de manifiesto la canción "Supermassive Black Hole", en la que se acercan bastante al sonido de grupos como Franz Ferdinand; sin embargo, Bellamy asegura que siempre le gustó ese estilo y que ya tenía pensado desarrollarlo antes de haberles oído.

La portada del disco Black Holes and Revelations, creada por Storm Thorgerson, está ambientada en la superficie marciana, e incluye cuatro hombres sentados alrededor de una mesa con cuatro caballos en miniatura enfrente de cada uno de ellos. Según la propia banda, "estos hombres representan los "Cuatro Jinetes del Apocalipsis", cada uno de ellos vestidos con un traje que representa el dolor de la humanidad".

Absolution

Absolution es el tercer álbum de la banda inglesa Muse. Fue lanzado el 29 de septiembre de 2003 en el Reino Unido. Fue el primer disco de la banda en editarse en Latinoamérica, bajo el sello discográfico Warner Bros. Una edición especial incluía un DVD de 35 minutos que incluía entrevistas y escenas de la grabación, en las que se puede observar los poco ortodoxos métodos que se usaron para la producción, como cuando el baterista Dominic Howard sumergido en una piscina hasta la cintura mientras golpea dos tambores, o el golpeo de latas contra el suelo para simular una marcha.

Fueron lanzadas como singles las canciones Stockholm Syndrome, Time Is Running Out, Hysteria, Sing For Absolution, Apocalypse Please y Butterflies and Hurricanes. Stockholm Syndrome y Apocalypse Please están disponibles sólo a través de descarga online desde el sitio oficial de la banda.

Las pistas 1 y 7 son instrumentales y en algunas ediciones, se llegó a omitir la presencia de la pista 7 en la parte trasera de la caja del CD, figurando como que Hysteria era la séptima pista y el disco contaba con un total de 13 canciones.

La edición japonesa incluía una canción adicional al final, titulada "Fury". Esta canción fue incluída luego para su distribución en el resto del mundo como b-side del single Sing For Absolution.

Origin of Symmetry

Origin of Symmetry es el segundo álbum del grupo de rock británico Muse, lanzando en el verano de 2001 por Mushroom Records en el Reino Unido. Sus singles fueron Plug in Baby, New Born, Bliss y Hyper Music/Feeling Good. Maverick, que lanzó Showbiz en Estados Unidos, pidió que los falsos vocales fueran eliminados, pues creían que obstaculizaba su posibilidad de ser puesta en radio. Muse se negó a este cambio por comprometer su integridad artística (o arruinar la canción). Por esta razón, el disco no fue lanzado en los Estados Unidos hasta 2005.

"Feeling Good" es un cover de la canción de Anthony Newley y Leslie Bricusse. Nestlé intentó usar este tema en un anuncio, pero no pidió el permiso a la banda antes de hacerlo. Fueron forzados a retirarlo y a pagar a la banda 500.000 libras esterlinas en concepto de daños (que fueron donados a Oxfam), sin embargo, Nestlé reemplazó la versión de Muse por otra parecida.

En el disco aparece nuevas experimentaciones de sonido, como el aumento de piezas en la batería y el uso de un órgano de iglesia para el tema "Megalomanía". La línea de bajo se utilizaba como conductora, mientras que la guitarra a menudo sólo proporcionaba una capa de distorsión, creando un efecto de sonido más cargado.

En la edición de febrero de 2006 de la Revista Q, Origin of Symmetry fue ubicado en el puesto número 74 de la encuesta sobre los 100 mejores discos de la historia.

Showbiz

Showbiz es el primer álbum de la banda inglesa Muse. Fue lanzado en el Reino Unido bajo la productora Taste Media el 28 de septiembre de 1999. Es considerado el disco más "crudo" de la banda, al poseer un sonido simple, sin tantos arreglos o experimentaciones que caracterizan a los discos siguientes.

Las canciones Uno, Cave, Muscle Museum, Sunburn y Unintended fueron lanzadas, en ese orden, como singles, grabándose para todas un video musical, excepto para "Cave". Todas las letras fueron escritas por Matthew Bellamy. La música fue escrita por Matthew Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme y Dominic Howard.
